You are paying £25 to be judged, so everything about how that happens is published before you enter: the brief, the criteria and their weightings, the dates and what we do with your work. Every competition is judged independently and in-house.
The process

Read the brief
Every competition publishes a full brief, the judging criteria with weightings, submission requirements and the key dates before entry opens.

Create an account
Your account holds your submissions, your recognition and your public creative profile. You control what any of it shows.
03
Pay the £25 entry fee
One fee per submission. Fees fund the prize, the judging process and the presentation of the work. Non-refundable once a submission is received.

Submit your work
Project title, description, discipline, main image, additional images and a PDF presentation. You can edit anything until the deadline.

Choose your visibility
You decide whether your submission is featured publicly. Opt out and it is seen by the judges only, and never appears in the gallery.

Judging
Every competition is judged independently and in-house by Design Something. Submissions are scored anonymously against the published criteria and their weightings, and the scores are aggregated to produce the ranking.

Results
One winner takes £500 and the Winner Badge. Ten runners-up receive the Runner-Up Badge. Everyone who opted in keeps a published project page.
Winner, runner-up, shortlisted, entrant
These are four different things and we never blur them. £500 goes to exactly one person per competition.
Winner
1£500 cash prize, the official Winner Badge, a hero feature on the results page, a permanent project page and prominent recognition on their profile.
Runner-Up

Shortlisted / Entered
All opted-in entrantsA published project page in the public gallery, linked to a creative profile. No badge and no award is implied.
Private entry
Opt-outSeen by the judges only. Never displayed publicly, never linked to a profile.
